EMBALAGEM DO FUTURO2456Packaging of the Future (Embalagem do Futuro®), driven by Next Generation EU funding, this Portuguese project brings together 79 partners - companies, R&D laboratories and universities - to transform the Portuguese packaging sector through sustainable, digital and inclusive innovation. This initiative spans the entire value chain - from raw materials to design, engineering, manufacturing, digital systems and recycling. Aims to create market-ready, eco-efficient packaging solutions on a global scale. The project is led by VANGEST, a company that is a European reference in integrated services, managed by NERLEI Chamber of Commerce and Industry from Leiria and supported by INOVA+, a leading innovation consulting company. The project is organized into 19 sub-projects focusing on various packaging materials - cardboard, glass, plastic, wood - with an innovative emphasis on sensorization, traceability, manufacturing processes, production facilities, waste recovery, certification, and training.
